Working with McCann Erickson (PoS)

McCann Erickson Port-of-Spain is a full scale advertising agency based in the Caribbean. Working with the McCann team has led to partnerships with regional and international brands that continue to push the boundaries of traditional advertising. Some of the brands include: Nestlé, Flow Communications, Mastercard and RBC Royal Bank.

McCann partnered with telecommunication company Blink|Bmobile for their Rio 2016 Olympic #BringItHome Campaign.

The campaign set out to build national pride and patriotism associated with the local culture of the brand. This campaign spread across all channels from social media to outdoor activations. The McCann Team was responsible for developing the digital content using social media to drive conversation, build brand engagement and improve the user experience on all channels.

Social Media Campaign Elements

The process involved campaign management and digital strategy: social media promotions, online activations, development of a single player olympic game and an olympic microsite.

The Bmobile fan page with over 134K fans continued to post, share and comment with an outpouring of love to their Olympic athletes. Each phase of the campaign brought fans closer to Rio and helped build support for the nation’s athletes positioning the brand as true ambassadors of local culture.
